The subtropical climate makes Myrtle Beach a delight for both full-time residents and vacationers. It is mild year round, with only tweaks of cooler weather to give everyone a brief taste of all four seasons. The average high temperature remains above 60 degrees in December and February. Golfers can play their favorite courses 12 months of the year.
New Road System -
The Myrtle Beach community has worked hard to improve its system of roads. For instance, the Carolina Bays Parkway, linking North Myrtle Beach and Little River to the south side of the city is finished. Other helpful roads are under construction and several bridges linking east to west - such as the 48th avenue bridge - have either been finished or are under construction, making local traffic easy and relaxing.
Fore! A Natural Golf Paradise -
The Grand Strand has over 120 golf courses. You wonder why so many of them are said to be of championship caliber? Among the architects: Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Robert Trent Jones, Davis Love III, Tom Fazio, Greg Norman, Gary Player and Pete Dye. Two courses - River Oaks and International World Tour - are within just two miles of Waterway Palms Plantation.
